Add the fact that the waiting period can last more than two hours. This is an absolute waste of time, especially if you’re in Rome for a limited time only. Instead of queuing for a long time for the tickets, you can use this time to see more of Rome.
There are several excursions you can book apart from the Vatican Museum. St. Peter’s Basilica and other basilicas accept visitors and tourists. For each excursion, you will have an experienced English Speaking guide.
If you are going alone, single tickets are available. You can also choose not to go with a guide.
